Aquatic Therapy

Move Strong is happy to offer on site aquatic therapy. With access to both a lap pool, as well as a warm water therapy pool, aquatic therapy can offer exercise options to people who may have difficulty exercising on land. Those with chronic pain, partial weight bearing status, and those who have difficulty/inability walking can all benefit from exercising in water. The warm water pool is maintained at 92-94 degrees and both pools have lift access. Call us today to make an appointment!

April 16th, 2020

Dear Patrons of Move Strong,

Our physical location continues to be closed as the MJCC, the community center in which Move Strong is located, is closed. At this time, there is not an expected date for reopening, as they are listening to guidance from state and local authorities. They will not open as long as the “Stay Home” recommendation for Oregon is still in effect.

We are still trying to serve our patients the best we can by posting home strengthening videos on our website, www.movestrongpt.com  and on our Facebook page to keep people active while at home. Please follow us at @movestrongpt

Remote visits (e-visits or telehealth) are also available to our established patients. At this time, United Health Care, Moda, Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Pacific Source and Medicare will cover remote visits by physical therapists.

During a remote visit a therapist will use video chat to look at your movement, correct form if needed,  progress exercises and self help techniques, and provide patient education. Remote visits are available for our usual self pay rate if your insurance does not cover them. Please call us if you would like to schedule a remote visit with one of our therapists.

Please stay up to date with the developing situation by following the Oregon Health Authority locally or the CDC at https://www.oregon.gov/oha/pages/index.aspx and https://www.cdc.gov/ respectively.

Thank you for your patience during this stressful time. If you have questions for your therapist, feel free to email them directly. Please keep in mind we are all working remotely.

Be well,

Ariel Z Salzman, DPT, OCS, CMPT
